In 1928, what is now Gustavus Inn was a homestead where a hardy couple and their nine children settled to carve a home from the Alaskan wilderness.
Gustavus Inn rests in the grassy Salmon River meadow with an ocean view of Icy Strait. The Gustavus Inn has a cozy hearth room, naturalist library and family style dining invite conversation and new friendships. They serve a variety of locally brewed beers and wine at the six-stool bar. Comfortable new guest rooms have a queen and a twin bed with a private bath. Two original homestead rooms, with ocean view, share a hall bath. The Gustavus Inn also offers wireless internet connectivity (WI-FI) throughout the inn. Family style meals served in the original homestead dining room will highlight your visit.
